2.5" Tubing This X-Pipe will fit onto any aftermarket C5 Muffler system. Eliminates almost all of the popping upon rapid deceleration. Adds 6-8 horsepower and 12-14 lbs of torque. Balances out back pressure between the left and right banks of the engine.
Our X-Pipes are made of ferritic stainless steel. This means that they are an alloy stainless steel making them more impervious to high temperatures that exhaust components are subjected to on vehicles. T-304 stainless can eventually fatigue after repeated expanding and contracting, but ferritic stainless will not because of the small amount of mild steel and iron that is combined with the stainless.
The stock H-pipe on 97-04 Corvettes has a small 1/2" small whole in the middle(see photo), which is very restrictive to exhaust gas flow. The X in our X-pipe is completely open and free flowing to increase horsepower and torque at all RPM levels.
