The Lingenfelter high flow mass air flow sensor was designed as a replacement sensor for GM frequency type mass air flow sensor applications.
This MAF sensor is recommended for supercharged, turbocharged and other high output engine applications. This is the same mass air flow sensor used in the LPE 600 hp and 725 hp 2005 -2009 C6 Corvette twin turbocharged engine packages.
The LPE MAF solves the mass air flow signal drop out problem found on 2005-2006 C6 Corvettes that occurs under high air flow conditions. The Lingenfelter 100 mm tube is precision CNC machined from aluminum and then anodized black for durability and appearance. This MAF sensor uses a unique connector.
The large diameter, low restriction LPE 100 mm MAF sensor assembly provides accurate airflow measurement while producing very little restriction, even at very high power levels. On positive displacement superchargers like the Eaton, Magnuson, Whipple, Kenne Bell, AutoRotor and Lysholm superchargers, the reduced pressure drop on the inlet side of the supercharger allows the supercharger to produce more boost at the engine.
This MAF sensor will NOT work with stock engine programming and requires recalibration of the factory PCM or ECM. The proper starting MAF sensor curve for most GM applications is supplied with the sensor but you will need EFILive, HPTuners, LS1/LT1/LS2 Edit, TunerCat or other similar software programs to recalibrate the MAF curve or have it done for you by a tuning shop or custom calibration company. The proper curves can be downloaded from the Lingenfelter web site under downloads > product instructions.
This MAF sensor is 4.00 inch outer diameter and 4.00 inches in length. Custom ductwork will be needed to install this in most vehicle applications and is not included. You can purchase the universal adapter harness with 12 inch leads that can be hard wired into any system or you can choose one of our plug-and-play adapter harnesses that are available for most applications.
